Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) assists students with their transition from school to post-school life.  Students are able to gain practical experience in a variety of industries to make a more informed choice about their career pathway.
SCsILS will:
Liaise with schools to identify SWL placement requirements for schools;
liaise with industry, employer groups and employers to source quality structured work placements for students participating in both Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools and vocational learning programs;
facilitate induction or orientation briefings for key stakeholders prior to the work placement; and
monitor work placements as negotiated with member schools
